What we collect

Kier Environmental Services Ltd. provide all your domestic waste collection services on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester Council. We undertake around 24,000,000 individual collections each year!

This includes:

  • Domestic waste (refuse) collections
  • Garden waste collections
  • Weekly food waste collections
  • Weekly recycling collections
  • Recycling (bring sites)
  • One-off bulky waste collections

Compostable cups and cutlery

We are currently unable to recycle compostable cups and cutlery at the kerbside. Although compostable items such as cups and cutlery are on the increase, the current recycling processes cannot compost the materials sufficiently. This is often due to the actual composting process which can’t actually break the item down. This means that the item will contaminate the recycling. We appreciate that you are making great efforts to move from single-use plastic but in this case we are unable to recycle your replacement.

IMPORTANT: Please do not put your textiles in charity bags for recycling with your kerbside collection. Recycle First kerbside collectors are unable to collect anything contained in charity bags.
